ASTM A53 Gr.B is the most widely used carbon steel pipe standard for mechanical, pressure and structural service. We supply Type S (seamless) and Type E (ERW), in black or hot-dip galvanized finish, NPS 1/2"–12".

A53 or A106?

Buyers often ask which to choose: A106 Gr.B is for high-temperature pressure service, A53 for general plumbing, mechanical and structural use. If your drawing already specifies one, keep it; if not, send us the application and we will confirm the more economical option that still meets your requirement.
